This coming weekend will see our youths girls and our senior men taking on fundraising challenges in aid of the club. The girls kick off this annual event with a 7km hike in Laragh on Saturday. The men will follow this up on Sunday at Glenmalure Lodge with a particularly gruelling weighted 1000 step up challenge (a 20kg vest for men and 16kg vest for women taking part). Pre season will seem like a walk in the park in comparison, not that we’re sure any of them will still be walking by the end of it! Both fundraisers are raising much needed funds towards the ongoing running and maintenance of the club house and grounds with a portion of the monies raised by the men going to a men’s mental health charity.
